Thornfalcon Winery & Press is a Grade II listed, idyllic period farm - a beautiful, diverse and interesting backdrop for photo, film and TV shoots.
The photogenic, thatched farmhouse includes large, high-ceilinged room, and original 18th century features such as flagstones, inglenook fireplaces, wide elm floorboards, an original scullery and bread oven, and shutters on lead light windows throughout. Rooms feature a wide variety of antiques and objects, alongside carefully curated fabrics and wallpapers, and tables, shelves and dressers are thoughtfully styled across the farmhouse.
Across the farm, barns and outbuildings include a coach house, winery, cider barn with fully working early 19th century cider press, a Grade II listed hay barn, stables, grain store and old Dutch barn.
The farm covers 40 acres, including a two-acre swimming and trout lake with a fishing hut, pontoon and rowing boat, and an off-grid, wood-fired sauna. There are several orchards, a productive semi-walled vegetable, flower and herb garden, and an avenue of trees leading to the lake. Alongside abundant wildlife, the farm is also home to chickens, a bevvy of doves, swans, cats, dogs and bees.
Accommodation and meals are available for limited numbers on the premises, and there are a good selection of hotels and B&B’s in close proximity. Access is easily found with the M5 and A303 only a few miles away.
